Riders consistently praise the staff here for creating a welcoming, safe environment that puts even first-timers at ease. Guides like Ashley, Margaret, Brandon, and Shannon get mentioned by name for their friendliness and clear instruction, and people appreciate how they share stories about the horses and take plenty of photos during rides. The horses themselves are described as well-trained, gentle, and clearly well-cared for, with many reviewers noting how comfortable they felt throughout their experience. Families especially seem to enjoy the petting zoo area and the chance to feed the horses carrots after rides. The main criticism involves the trail itself, which some riders note is more of a loop around the property rather than an extensive forest ride. A couple of reviews mention occasional staffing confusion during busy times with multiple parties, and one person had an issue with a guide's communication style. Still, the overwhelming majority of visitors had memorable experiences and plan to return, particularly those trying horseback riding for the first time or celebrating special occasions.
Absolutely best time at Kay's Acres. My daughter asked to go horseback riding this year for her birthday and they did not disappoint! My daughter loved every minute. We even happen to have the entire time to ourselves, as no one else booked during that timeframe. Horses were absolutely sweet, even my giant gentle Falcor. They even have a small area as a petting zoo. She loved feeding the animals and petting the turkey. Highly recommend them!
