Check in for your trip at the NEWPORT MARINA STORE.
This outfit has built a loyal following among anglers, with many customers returning year after year for good reason. The crews consistently get people on fish—rockfish, lingcod, crab, and salmon when they're running. Captains like Jack and Ann know their spots well, and several reviewers mention limiting out quickly, sometimes in under an hour. The deckhands work hard, helping with everything from baiting hooks to cleaning your catch afterward, which folks really appreciate. There's also a well-stocked marina store on-site for any supplies or gifts you might need. The Miss Raven drew some criticism in one detailed review about outdated equipment and maintenance issues, so you might want to request a different boat like the Gracie K or Spindrift, which get glowing mentions. One family felt their crabbing trip was too rushed and dominated by other more experienced passengers, suggesting the crew could do better at making sure everyone gets hands-on time. Still, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive. First-timers especially praise how welcoming and instructional the crews are, and the company shows integrity by offering to reschedule or refund trips when conditions aren't ideal.
