Hike the Navajo Loop by full moon with a local guide
2 hrs
Guide, night hike, headlamp
Explore the Navajo Loop on a guided, relaxed-paced night hike during a full moon in Bryce Canyon National Park. Walk about 3 miles with moderate elevation changes while your guide shares local history and night-sky navigation.
Ages 8+ only; guests under 16 must be with a parent or legal guardian. National Park entrance fees and transportation to/from the trailhead are not included. This experience is weather and moon-dependent, and itinerary changes or cancellations may occur for safety.
Full refund if canceled 48+ hours before tour. 50% refund for 24–48 hours. No refund for under 24 hours or no-shows.
Wear closed-toe hiking shoes and bring warm layers (temperatures drop quickly at night). Bring at least 1 liter of water per person, a small backpack or waist pack, a fully charged phone, and any personal medications (such as inhalers or an EpiPen). Sun protection is also recommended.
Arrive at least 15 minutes before your start time. Parking at the trailhead is limited, so arrive early if you want to try for a spot. If it’s full, use the free park shuttle, which runs every 8–10 minutes from the Visitor Center and drops off at Sunset Point.
You’ll hike about 3 miles with moderate elevation changes. The trail is well-maintained but can be steep, with uneven steps, switchbacks, and sections of soft footing. The hike takes place at over 7,000 feet, so hydrate and pace yourself.
