Visitors consistently rave about the knowledgeable and friendly tour guides here, with names like Jackson, Jessica, and Ben getting specific shoutouts for making the experience both informative and engaging. The caverns themselves are genuinely beautiful, with impressive formations that captivate everyone from school groups to families to couples on dates. Multiple reviewers mention opting for the extended tour and being glad they did, suggesting it's worth the extra time to see more of what's underground. The gift shop gets almost as much praise as the caves themselves, offering a great selection of stones, gems, and souvenirs that visitors find reasonably priced and fun to browse. It's an especially smart winter destination since the caverns maintain a comfortable 52 degrees year-round, making it pleasant to explore even when it's freezing outside. The staff shows flexibility too, often accommodating guests who arrive early or run a bit late. One reviewer notes the tour felt rushed with limited historical context, but this seems like an outlier given the overwhelming enthusiasm from others who found the pacing just right at about an hour.
