Explore La Jolla Cove on a guided early-morning, two-tank shore dive inside the La Jolla Underwater Park. Dive from shore near Scripps Park with a small group and a pre-dive site and marine biology briefing.
Scuba certification is required, and you must bring photo ID and proof of certification. Minimum age is 13; children under 15 must be with a parent/guardian and weigh at least 100 lbs/45 kg. You must be in good physical condition and able to carry one tank unassisted; some days include stairs, surf entry, and a surface swim.
Gratuity is customary; the operator notes a standard 15% for activity guides or $10 per dive per diver.
72-hour policy. If canceled more than 72 hours before start, 20% fee. No refunds for cancellations within 72 hours, no-shows, or arrivals over 15 minutes late. Full refund if canceled/rescheduled 72+ hours prior, or if the operator/dive guide cancels due to unforeseen events or adverse/unsafe conditions.
Yes. Proof of certification from an internationally recognized agency is required; we accept SSI, PADI, SDI/TDI, NAUI, RAID, BSAC and others.
Access includes walking stairs and, on some days, a surf entry. Some dives require a short surface swim to the descent point.
Depending on season and site, expect kelp forest, sea lions, harbor seals, garibaldi, bat rays, sting rays, horn sharks, leopard sharks and more.
