    Things to know

    Boarding historic cars requires climbing four steep stairs unless using the wheelchair lift. Tours involve uneven surfaces and prolonged standing; sturdy closed-toe shoes are recommended. Guided tours are not advised for children under eight.

    Cancellation policy

    All sales are final; no refunds. You may transfer the ticket value to an online gift card if changes are made before your scheduled experience. Reservations not checked in 15 minutes before departure may be released without refund. Experiences may be canceled by the operator for any reason, including weather or mechanical issues.

While many families rave about the activities at the destination grove (bounce house, mini golf, hayride, and pumpkin decorating), others found the 90-minute stop lacking in substance for adults and the 15-minute ride underwhelming compared to expectations. The destination setup includes food trucks and basic carnival-style games that seem to work better for some families than others. Standard scenic rides appear to deliver more consistently on the heritage railroad experience that makes this place special, with passengers appreciating the historical authenticity and the crew's dedication to preserving this narrow-gauge treasure.

    Awesome short line and lots of history to boot. Loved the shop tour and will definitely be back for the trolley tour and rides. It's fantastic that the area has been preserved so very well. Very reminiscent of riding the OC&T back home.
