- Bring a buoyancy control device, regulator with alternate air source, and depth gauge, timer, or dive computer unless renting gear
- Bring an underwater compass, audible surface signal, safety tube, cutting tool, slate, and digital underwater camera unless renting gear

If weather prevents sea or boat diving, your training may move to an alternate land-based location up to 80 miles from the shop. Transportation is not provided for alternate locations, and you may reschedule for a future day instead.
