    1. Meet at Hominy Creek River Park by the stairs to the river.
    2. Launch on the French Broad River and casually float downstream.
    3. Stop at 2–3 local bars and breweries for a beer at each spot.
    4. Finish the trip at New Belgium Brewery.

    Wear clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting wet (river shoes or sandals with a back strap work). Bring sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, swimwear, a rain jacket or poncho (optional), a water bottle, and snacks if you want.
