This tour delivers exactly what adventure-seeking travelers hope for: an adrenaline-pumping boat ride combined with incredible dolphin encounters. The skiffs themselves are a huge part of the appeal. You'll be driving your own small boat across the water at surprisingly fast speeds, which reviewers consistently describe as thrilling and surprisingly easy to handle even for complete beginners. The real stars, though, are the guides. Names like Jordan, Tyler, Grayson, Jeff, James, and Captain Joe come up repeatedly, with guests raving about how knowledgeable they are about local wildlife, history, and the waterway. These guides don't just find dolphins (and you'll likely see plenty, including adorable babies), they can actually identify individual dolphins by their fins and share fascinating details about feeding habits, recent studies, and the ecosystem. Expect to see other wildlife too, from egrets and herons to pelicans, roseate spoonbills, and even the occasional manatee. A few practical notes that matter: plan on being out longer than advertised, with most tours running 90+ minutes instead of the stated 60. You will absolutely get wet, so dress accordingly and bring sunglasses with a strap for the splash zones. Sunscreen is essential since there's limited shade, though guides provide cold water from coolers. The early morning slots seem ideal for avoiding the most intense sun. One reviewer wished for more pauses and less driving time, finding the ride a bit choppy with wakes, but this appears to be an outlier. The overwhelming majority describe it as the best water experience they've had in Hilton Head, with excellent customer service that extends beyond the tour itself.

My family and I had an amazing time on the skiffs! Tyler, our guide, was very friendly as he guided us around the area. We saw TONS of dolphins and were able to get up close to see them. Definitely recommend this activity to others.
