Captain Joel Cruz is the real draw here, and the reviews make that clear. He's described as a masterful, hardworking fisherman who genuinely loves what he does, and that passion comes through in every trip. Whether the seas are calm or choppy, he consistently puts people on fish, from mahi-mahi and wahoo to grouper, snapper, sailfish, and tuna. His knowledge of local waters is repeatedly praised, and he's known for adapting on the fly to find the best action available. Joel is also consistently highlighted as patient and welcoming, making him a great fit for first-timers, families with kids, and solo travelers alike. One reviewer even noted he'll fillet your catch and hook you up with a discount at a local restaurant to cook it. The booking process is described as smooth and easy, and the crew keeps things running on time and professionally. With a near-perfect rating across a large volume of reviews, this one is hard to argue with. Just book it.
We went out with them for my son’s birthday, and to say we had a great time would be an understatement! We absolutely loved the trip, and having a first mate along was a fantastic addition. My son said all he wanted to do was catch something over 10 pounds. Well, he definitely accomplished that! The most notable fish he caught was a barracuda weighing around 20 pounds, a porkfish that was really cool-looking, and, best of all, he reeled in what we estimate was a 6–8 foot, 250-pound lemon shark! This was an absolutely amazing trip and an unforgettable birthday experience for my son. We highly recommend them!
