Sail the 84-foot Schooner Pride at sunset in Charleston Harbor
2 hours
2-hour sail, Harbor views
Cruise Charleston Harbor on a two-hour sunset sail aboard the three-mast Schooner Pride. Relax on deck as the crew points out landmarks, or help raise and trim the sails.
Food and beverages are not included; drinks are available for purchase on board, and you may bring snacks (no coolers). Do not bring your own beverages; on-board drink purchases are credit card only. The Schooner Pride is not wheelchair accessible, and all children need a ticket.
Non-refundable. You can reschedule with 24 hours advance notice. Events occur rain or shine. The operator may cancel due to severe weather, mechanical breakdown, or lack of participation; if canceled, your event will be rescheduled.
Dress comfortably and weather-appropriate. It’s usually 5–10 degrees cooler on the water (and can feel hotter than on land in summer). Soft-soled shoes are recommended, and for sunset sails a light jacket is suggested as temperatures drop in the evening.
Events run rain or shine, but the operator may cancel for severe weather, mechanical breakdown, or lack of participation. If you’re caught in a rain shower during the sail, you may go below deck to the main salon or borrow a rain poncho.
Yes. The boat has a clean restroom (“marine head”) located below deck down a stairway, and it works differently than a land bathroom (with a foot pedal). Simple directions are posted.

Charleston Harbor tours consistently deliver a relaxing, educational experience on the water, with knowledgeable guides sharing history about Fort Sumter, the bridge, local sea life, and the surrounding waterfront. Friendly, accommodating staff are a recurring highlight across reviews, and the sunset cruise option gets particular praise for its laid-back atmosphere, yacht rock playlist, and gorgeous views. A few reviewers noted that the top deck can fill up quickly, and sightlines can be an issue when it gets crowded, so arriving early to grab a good spot is worth the effort. One tip that keeps coming up: the starboard side tends to offer better views. The good news is there's an air-conditioned lower deck if the top fills up. Overall, this is a well-loved way to experience Charleston from the water, with high marks across a large number of reviews. Staff go out of their way to be helpful, even assisting guests with mobility needs. Whether the vibe you're after is scenic and educational or relaxed and social with a drink in hand, there's likely a tour here that fits the bill.
Nice ride around the harbor and lots of history.
