Cudjoe Key Backcountry & Flats Charter

This marina serves as a solid launching point for fishing charters, with a well-stocked bait shop, live bait selection, snacks, beverages, and clean facilities on site. Multiple fishing guides operate out of the location, making it easy to arrange a trip, and regulars praise the friendly staff and overall laid-back atmosphere. One reviewer raved about coming back the very next day after getting solid advice from someone at the front counter, which says a lot. That said, the boat ramp has drawn consistent criticism and is worth knowing about before you arrive. Several boaters have reported structural issues with the concrete that caused real damage to trailer axles, and a handful of reviews mention one staff member being particularly unwelcoming. These complaints appear across multiple reviews, so they are worth factoring in if you plan to launch your own boat here. If you are coming to catch a charter rather than launch your own vessel, the experience looks to be genuinely enjoyable. The vibe is casual and welcoming, the shop is well-equipped for a day on the water, and there is no shortage of experienced guides available. Just do your homework on the boat ramp situation ahead of time if that is part of your plan.
