Guides Cathey, Taylor, and Paulette consistently earn praise for their infectious energy and deep knowledge across multiple tour locations including Berlin, Salisbury, and Ocean City. They've mastered the art of blending local history with foodie fun, sharing everything from town trivia to behind-the-scenes restaurant stories. Several reviewers mention how welcoming the restaurant owners are, often coming out personally to greet tour groups and explain their concepts. Even locals who were initially skeptical discovered new spots and learned surprising facts about their own towns. The food itself is a major highlight, with generous portions at each stop that genuinely fill people up. Tours visit privately-owned establishments rather than chains, giving you an authentic taste of each area's dining scene. The walking distances between stops are manageable, and you'll leave with a solid list of places to revisit. Multiple reviewers specifically note the excellent value for what you receive. First-timers to food tours and seasoned travelers alike rave about the experience, with many already planning their return visits to try different tour routes.
August 2026: BERLIN, MARYLAND - FOODIE TOUR Tour Guide: Paulette If you have indeed gone on a Foodie Tour before or even if you have not, the Berlin, Maryland tour will surprise you. Look, I've been to the Coolest Small Town before (town's nickname) and thought I saw and experienced everything within the approximately two block town before......WRONG! My wife Millie encouraged me to go, so I decided to see what this cool small town was hit'in on! Our Berlin Foodie tour guide was Paulette. You like fireworks?.....then you'll enjoy this firecracker. So energetic and excited to impart knowledge, explain and answer any question throughout the tour. What makes this Foodie Tour fun is the history and her knowledge of the specific locations and the town you will visit. Because of Paulette's long-term residence in the area, her personal knowledge of working at one of the locations you will visit (long ago) and community ties to the area/town, your tour will certainly be more enriching and worth your time. Paulette had the group of 12 start at what is the historic - Atlantic Hotel. Did you know I always walk by this place thinking only those who have a room can partake in their breakfast, Lunch or Dinner. Boy was I happy I was wrong. Served great samplings such as the Arnold Palmer Tea or Maryland crab to name but a few. Got an upstairs tour of the guest rooms (vacant rooms), to experience the beauty of the historic furniture and architecture of yesteryears. Even touched the doorknob to the room known to have a ghost emerge by visitors and staff alike. You'll have to go on this tour to find out for yourself the room number. Believe me, my wife and I cannot wait to return for breakfast, Lunch and eventually Dinner. We visited the Sterling Tavern restaurant, Island Creamery (truly the best ice cream you will ever have), Cafe Berlin coffee/tea, and Pop's kitchen (pizza). Each offered food and/or drink tasting. Other locations were visited for their historical significance throughout Berlin. The last retailer visited was at Una Bella Salute. Here you will sample an array of bottled Olive oils and extensive Balsamic Vinegars. Staff is most helpful and you can taste test in small cups, as many olive oils and/or balsamic vinegars as you desire. You will learn the health benefits and if you like, buy what you will enjoy in a sealed beautiful bottle to bring home or give as a gift. What this tour will offer is the insight and long history of Berlin and the people who put their energy and money to develop a location for people then and now, as well as the businesses that continue to support the town and its visitors with great food and gifts. If you do book this Berlin, MD foodie tour, be sure you tell Paulette when you see her, Mark & Millie sent you!
