City Food Tours Philadelphia has clearly perfected the art of showing off Philly's culinary scene. Across these reviews, guides like Karen, Kelly, Steve, Matt, and Adam consistently earn enthusiastic praise for their knowledge, energy, and genuine passion for the city. Karen especially gets mentioned repeatedly for her storytelling ability and how she weaves together food and history into something memorable. The tours hit classic spots like cheesesteaks and Reading Terminal Market while uncovering hidden neighborhood gems that visitors wouldn't find on their own. What stands out is how the guides make people feel welcome and engaged. Multiple reviewers mention feeling like family by the end or wanting to bring more people back. The pacing works well, with generous portions at each stop and time to explore independently afterward. Whether you're new to Philadelphia or looking to deepen your appreciation for the city, these walking tours deliver a fun, filling, and surprisingly educational experience that goes well beyond just eating good food.
This tour was great! I am a local and I brought my parents. They loved hearing about the history and the unique food. Our tour guide, Kaitlin, was perfect! The tour only being 45 minutes was perfect for my parents. And after having the overview of the tour we were able to pick a few things we wanted to have for lunch after the tour. It was a really great day and one that I know my parents will remember for a long time.
