- Single kayak participants must be ages 15+ and weigh at least 100 lbs
- Children in tandem kayaks must weigh at least 30 lbs and ride with an adult
- All minors must be accompanied by an adult
- Wear a personal flotation device at all times
- Complete the Illinois-required canoe and kayak safety videos and 10-question quiz before the tour
- Expect to get wet; wear quick-drying clothing and secure water shoes or sandals, and avoid flip-flops
