Julian is the heart of this San Diego scuba operation, and the reviews make it hard not to get excited about diving with him. Experienced, calm, and genuinely passionate about marine life, he has a talent for putting nervous divers at ease while still making the experience feel adventurous. La Jolla Cove is the primary spot, and Julian clearly knows it inside and out, regularly pointing out horn sharks, sea lions, Garibaldi fish, octopus, and more. Logistics are consistently praised too. Gear arrives well-maintained and ready to go, briefings are thorough, and Julian adapts well to different skill levels, from nervous first-timers to those working toward advanced certifications. Multiple reviewers specifically called out his underwater communication and his habit of offering useful tips to help divers improve their technique. The overall picture is of someone who takes safety seriously without letting it dampen the fun.
Just finished my Open Water Certification yesterday. Thanks to Julian’s high degree of clear, concise and timely communication, as well as his willingness and flexibility to help me make this happen with a limited timeframe, I was able to get this done while visiting from out of town. Julian’s at all times calm and professional demeanor made me feel safe and confident during all stages of my certification. I leave La Jolla today with a new skill that I am so excited to use with my loved ones for the rest of my life!
