Safety briefing, guide, gear
Explore a sheltered Acadia National Park lake on a guided, 2-hour paddleboarding session with time to sightsee, swim, and play. Start with a safety orientation and on-water coaching to build confidence on your board.
A National Park Pass is required for all lake sessions. Minimum age is 16 for public group tours; private tours allow ages 8+ (as young as 6 with prior approval). Gratuity is not included—clarify tipping expectations with Greetwell before booking if needed.
Cancellations must be made 24 hours before the start time or full charges will apply. No refunds for same-day cancellations, no-shows, or reductions in party size.
Expect to get wet. Wear swim attire. Bring water, sunscreen, a towel, a change of clothes, a hat, a waterproof phone case, and sunglasses with a strap.
Wetsuits are not needed for lake trips. If you want one (especially early or late season), request it at the time of booking and provide your height and weight so it can be brought for you.
Yes. A National Park Pass is required for all lake sessions, and you are expected to have it before entering Acadia National Park.
Acadia National Park: Echo Lake or Great Long Pond
This operation has built an excellent reputation through consistently great service and well-maintained equipment. The e-bikes get particular praise for their reliability and long battery life, with multiple reviewers mentioning they easily handled full half-day rentals through Acadia's carriage roads. The staff, especially Kyle, earns frequent mentions for being helpful and knowledgeable, offering solid route recommendations and clear instructions that make first-timers feel confident. Their downtown Bar Harbor location offers convenient parking near the fire station. The paddle boarding tours are equally impressive, with guides like Mike and Chris standing out for their teaching abilities and deep knowledge of the area's natural history. These guides seem to have a real talent for adapting to different skill levels and making nervous beginners feel comfortable on the water. Pricing is competitive compared to other local options, and the whole operation runs efficiently with quick check-in and return processes. Several visitors returned for second rentals during their trip, which says plenty about the experience they deliver.
Our group of four took an E-Bike tour thru Acadia National Park with Lee and it was so interesting and fun. Lee’s passion and knowledge for the geography, wildlife and history made our tour so memorable! We HIGHLY recommend this tour company AND LEE!
