You must bring rain gear, gloves, sunglasses and sunscreen, hiking boots, a backpack, and your own lunch or snacks. Trips go out rain or shine.

Bring rain gear (jacket and pants) and layered clothing (no shorts), light gloves, sunglasses and sunscreen, hiking boots with ankle support (or other sturdy walking shoes), a water bottle, a backpack, and your own lunch or snacks (unless you purchased Snack Packs).
Plan to hike 5–7 miles total. You’ll cover about 4 miles on an out-and-back trail to the glacier, including a 300 ft hill. The last 1/4 mile is not well maintained and includes a steep, loose-rock descent/ascent over ice (about 200 ft).
