Transportation, Guide, Drinks
Explore five Columbia River Gorge waterfalls on a guided 3.5-hour shuttle tour. Walk short trails, enjoy reserved parking, and hear local history along the Historic Columbia River Highway.
Expect about 1.5 miles of walking on uneven terrain. An ADA ramp is available; wheelchairs may not access a couple of hikes but alternate viewpoints are offered. We do not provide child seats.
How much time do we spend in the bus?
It's a 15 minute drive from Portland to our meeting point, and another 20 minutes from there to the first waterfall. After that we're only in the bus for about 10 minutes between each waterfall. You'll spend most of the time on the tour walking around the waterfalls, enjoying the area and taking photos.
How far do we walk?
There's a total of 1.5 miles of walking.
What about parking?
Park at our location Migration Brewing Gresham, it's safe and free.
Is it paved?
Most of it is paved but one hike is 90% paved and at Latourell the 300 yard hike is easy going gravel.
What is the experience like for those in wheelchairs or with limited mobility?
You'll still get to see all the waterfalls but won't be able to get as close to all of them as the rest of the group. We often accommodate folks with limited mobility and they're always thrilled with the experience.

What stands out most here is the exceptional quality of the tour guides. James, Alex, Branden, Seth, and Jeffree all receive enthusiastic praise for their deep knowledge of the Columbia River Gorge, covering everything from geology and history to local ecology and plants. Reviewers consistently mention how passionate these guides are about the area, and it shows in the experience. They're described as friendly, funny, patient, and genuinely invested in making the tour memorable. Several guests note this was their favorite part of their Portland trip, and even a 56-year local discovered waterfalls they'd never seen before. The tours strike a nice balance between informative commentary and allowing time to soak in the stunning scenery. There's moderate hiking involved to reach the falls, which guides are very accommodating about, waiting patiently for slower walkers. Multiple reviewers emphasize that while you could drive to these locations yourself, going with a guide provides a much richer, more immersive experience. The guides also offer to take photos at scenic spots, which adds a thoughtful touch. Guests from near and far, including international travelers, describe the waterfalls as breathtaking and the overall experience as outstanding.
Had a great tour! Informative, well paced, and friendly. You do have to hike a little-but not far, to the waterfalls, so if you are a little on the “fluffy” side, like myself, be prepared. The tour guide was super nice and waited for us, even if we were slow as snails!
