Wear layers and sturdy, closed-toe shoes with a flat sole. In summer, bring a waterproof wind layer, sunglasses, sunscreen, an empty water bottle, and (if you plan to do the glacier plunge) a change of clothes. In winter, bring a warm waterproof jacket, gloves, a hat that covers your ears, warm sturdy closed-toe shoes, and sunglasses.
