Guided three-location snorkeling with a smaller-capacity group
4.5 hrs
Snorkel gear, snacks & drinks
Explore Key Largo’s underwater environments on a guided group outing capped at 70% vessel capacity. Your trip also supports coral reef conservation through PADI AWARE initiatives.
Check-In
Meet our on-shore team at Silent World Dive Center, where we’ll welcome you, walk you through your tour details, and assist with sizing and prepping your snorkel equipment. Complimentary reef-safe sunscreen is available, and our A/C restrooms, changing areas, and showers are open for your use.
Arrive a few minutes early to browse our gift shop or stroll along the sea wall — we often have Key Largo manatee visitors stopping by to say hello!
Once check-in ends, we board The Siren. Our friendly crew will show you where to store personal items and snorkel gear. When all guests are seated, the Captain will conduct the official Coast Guard safety briefing and passenger roll call. After departure, your deckhand will demonstrate how to properly use the snorkel equipment, how to safely enter and exit the water, and the best ways to observe our protected Sanctuary reef sites respectfully.
Site One: Carysfort Lighthouse Reef (The Hidden Gem)
Our adventure begins at Carysfort Reef Lighthouse, the northernmost Mission: Iconic Reefs site and one of the oldest surviving screw-pile lighthouses in the United States. This area is known for its shallow spur-and-groove coral formations, bright schooling reef fish, and frequent encounters with sea turtles cruising near the reef ridges.
Carysfort is located inside a large Sanctuary Preservation Area, giving you bright visibility, light currents, and peaceful, uncrowded reef conditions — perfect for first-time snorkelers and experienced explorers alike.
After about 40 minutes of snorkeling here, the Captain will call everyone back aboard for roll call before we head to our next hidden gem.
Site Two: The 300-Foot Wooden Schooner Wreck (Shallow Water History)
Next, glide over the unnamed 300-ft wooden schooner wreck, resting in only 8 feet of water. Because of its extremely shallow depth, this site offers some of the clearest, easiest viewing of any wreck in the Keys — you can see massive structural beams, ribs of the ship, and coral-covered timbers just beneath the surface.
This historic site has evolved into a vibrant artificial reef teeming with juvenile fish, colorful soft corals, and schools of grunts and snapper. It’s a favorite for photography, beginners, and anyone who loves a truly unique snorkeling experience.
After another 40 minutes in the water, we’ll bring everyone back on board for roll call, snacks, and cold beverages as The Siren heads to your final site.
Site Three: Christ of the Abyss Statue (The Crowning Jewel)
Our last stop brings you to the legendary Christ of the Abyss, a nine-foot bronze statue resting in the shallow coral gardens of Key Largo Dry Rocks. As one of the most photographed snorkel sites in the Florida Keys, this Sanctuary Protection Zone features clear blue water, healthy elkhorn corals, and schools of tropical fish surrounding the iconic outstretched-arms statue.
This peaceful site offers incredible visibility and a calm, uplifting atmosphere — the perfect way to end your Northern Keys adventure.
Return to Silent World Dive Center
After your final 40-minute snorkel, we’ll call everyone back aboard and begin the scenic ride home. Enjoy the breeze, ocean views, and the chance to ask our crew about anything you saw during the day — turtles, rays, reef fish, or coral formations.
Back at the dock, you’ll have access to freshwater showers, shaded picnic tables, A/C restrooms, yard games, and our retail & gift shop. Be sure to ask our crew for our favorite local food, bar, and activity recommendations before you head out — we love helping guests explore Key Largo like locals!
Make changes at least 48 hours before check-in with no fee. Changes or cancellations within 48 hours through close of business the day before incur a $30 fee per snorkeler. No-shows and day-of cancellations are charged the full trip price. No additional fee applies for weather cancellations.

Silent World Dive Center, 51 Garden Cove Dr., Key Largo, FL 33037
Silent World has clearly figured out the formula for making both nervous beginners and experienced divers feel right at home. What really jumps out from recent visitors is how much the crew matters to the experience. People repeatedly mention captains like Aaron, Killian, and Jeff by name, along with dive instructors and deckhands like Will, Julisa, Alex, Ashlyn, and Murphy. These aren't just competent guides checking boxes. They're described as funny, engaging, patient, and genuinely enthusiastic about what they do. Several reviewers note the crew's willingness to adapt, whether that meant helping someone with knee issues back into the boat without judgment, varying dive sites for a guest doing multiple trips, or making first-time boat divers feel completely prepared and confident. The operation itself gets consistently high marks for being well-organized and thoughtful about the details. Guests appreciate the clean, shaded boats with dry storage, complimentary reef-safe sunscreen, snacks and drinks, and nice facilities at the dock. The diving and snorkeling sites, particularly the Christ of the Abyss statue, seem to deliver on the promise of exploring John Pennekamp Coral Reef. One minor complaint surfaced about inappropriate jokes and lack of dress code enforcement from other guests, which earned a three-star review, but that's an outlier in an otherwise glowing collection of feedback. The front office staff also gets props for being friendly and handling arrangements professionally, making the whole experience smooth from initial phone call to final dive.
