Know before you go
- Ages 18+ only
- Bring required technical dive gear if you do not rent equipment, including tanks, mask, fins, exposure suit, compass, signaling devices, cutting tools, slate, reel or delayed surface marker buoy, and weight system
- Bring two dive computers, or one computer with a backup timer and depth gauge, plus dive tables; one computer must handle multiple gases
- Use a regulator and buoyancy control device setup appropriate for your tank configuration; recreational buoyancy control devices require rings for a decompression bottle
- Bring two first- and second-stage regulators, including one with a 7-foot hose, if you do not rent equipment
Cancellation Policy
Refunds may be available within 48 hours of purchase; courses are nonrefundable after 48 hours. Books are nonrefundable. Request reservation changes at least 48 hours before check-in.
FAQs
Training may move to an alternate land-based location to complete your course. Alternate sites can be up to 80 miles from the shop, and transportation is not provided. You can reschedule for a future day instead; choosing an alternate location does not qualify for a partial refund.
The course can be taught using doubles with a decompression bottle, one large single tank with a pony and decompression bottle, or one large single tank with an H or Y valve and decompression bottle.
You can receive a referral letter to complete your training at a PADI dive center worldwide within 12 months, though other dive centers may charge different fees. You can also return to finish the course within 12 months for an extra fee.
