Things to know
Minimum age is 13 and you must be in reasonable physical health. A liability release and a PADI/SSI medical statement are required. PADI ReActivate e-learning has an extra fee paid directly to PADI (amount varies in the source).
Cancellation Policy
72-hour cancellation policy. 14 to 7 days before: reschedule with $75 administration fee. Less than 7 days: 50% administration fee to move dates; 50% cancellation fee if cancel more than 72 hours out. Less than 72 hours or no-show: 100% fee. Full refund if instructor cancels for safety/weather.
FAQs
If you choose the PADI ReActivate option, you must pay an extra PADI ReActivate e-learning fee directly to PADI (the source lists $69 and $81 in different places). Gratuity is also customary; the standard gratuity for activity guides is 15% of your tour price or $10 per dive per diver.
Bring proof of scuba certification (physical card or app), a swimsuit and towel, sun protection and sunglasses, and any personal dive gear you want to use. Dress for a cool early morning.
Meet at 7:00 am at La Jolla Shores (Kellogg Park). This is a public park area (not a building). Walk toward the flagpole and La Jolla Shores Hotel; your instructor typically sets up on the large grassy area or near the big concrete tables by the playground. Look for plastic crates with name tags taped to the front.
