Lorie and her team have created something special here, offering both redwood forest rides and coastal adventures that consistently wow visitors. The horses are clearly well-cared-for and expertly matched to riders based on size and personality, making even complete beginners feel comfortable within minutes. Reviewers rave about the peaceful experience of riding through ancient redwoods and along Tolowa Dunes State Park, with guides sharing fascinating local history and plant knowledge along the way. What stands out most is the personal attention and genuine care for both guests and horses. First-timers appreciate how Lorie provides clear, simple instructions that ease any anxiety, while more experienced riders enjoy the diverse terrain and relaxed pace. The guides capture photos during rides, help retrieve dropped items, and operate year-round despite coastal weather challenges. People leave feeling they've connected with nature in an unforgettable way, with many already planning return visits to try the other trail option.
We had a lovely ride through the forest and enjoyed the local knowledge passed by our trail guides. The horses were well trained and healthy. You could tell they really care about everyone’s experience and how well they treat their horses. They also take great photos during the ride. We hope to come back soon.
