Take a private helicopter flight to Knik Glacier, then spend the day trekking on the ice with an experienced guide. Learn basic glacier travel skills and explore crevasses, ice walls, and blue ice formations.
Seat weight limit is 300 lbs; guests over 300 lbs will not be permitted to fly and no refund will be given. Guests who weigh 250 lbs or more are charged an additional $250. If your group exceeds aircraft total weight limits and requires multiple helicopters or a larger aircraft, there is an additional $250 fee.
Full refund with 7 days notice. Within 72 hours of the designated tour time, 50% of the booking fees will be refunded. Full refund if the operator cancels due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. No refund for no-shows.
Wear layers and dress for changing temperatures. Bring a waterproof/windproof outer layer, a warm base layer, plus a hat, gloves, warm socks, and sunglasses. Wear closed-toe, sturdy shoes with a flat sole (preferably waterproof sneakers or hiking shoes with good tread).
For trekking, you are provided mountaineering boots, a harness, a helmet, and crampons.
Bring an empty water bottle to fill with glacier water and a sack lunch if you don’t purchase an excursion lunch pack. Small snacks and warm drinks are provided.
