Dive two shallow reef sites with full gear and a guide
4.5 Hours
Gear, 2 tanks, snacks
Head out on an afternoon boat charter for two 30–40 ft reef dives in Honolulu, with a dive guide and full-service support between dives. Request sites when you sign up, and the crew will choose locations based on conditions.
You must be at least Open Water Certified unless you book the non-certified intro option, and a medical waiver is required (doctor approval may be needed). Minimum age to scuba dive is 10.
Refund for bookings cancelled 48 hours prior to departure. No refunds for cancellations after this time. If the operator cancels the charter for any reason (weather, mechanical, safety), a full refund will be provided.
For the afternoon two-tank reef dives, arrive at Island Divers at 12:30 pm; the boat departs at 1:00 pm and returns between 4:30–5:00 pm.
If you booked Discover Scuba Diving (first-time) or a Scuba Refresher, arrive by 9:30 am for pool training before the afternoon charter, then return to the dock around 4:30–5:00 pm.
You must complete the medical waiver to participate. If you are a non-certified diver and answer “yes” to any medical questions, bring a physician’s approval with signature; without it, you will not scuba dive (you can snorkel on the boat instead), and you will not receive a refund.

The dive masters here consistently earn praise for creating safe, professional experiences. Oscar gets multiple shoutouts for his thorough instruction during certifications, while Nadia is repeatedly mentioned as an excellent guide who points out wildlife and makes newer divers feel comfortable. The crew and captains like Matt, Will, and Nate clearly know what they're doing, and several reviewers appreciated the newer equipment and focus on customer satisfaction rather than just churning through beginners. Ocean conditions matter here though. Multiple reviews mention seasickness, even among experienced divers, so definitely take motion sickness medication regardless of your usual tolerance. The afternoon charters tend to be more beginner-focused, which means dives can get cut short when someone runs low on air. One reviewer had a rough experience with boat maintenance issues and difficult re-boarding, though this seems isolated given the overwhelming positive feedback. The location is about 20 minutes from Waikiki, but experienced divers say it's worth the drive to avoid the more tourist-oriented shops. People genuinely seem to return year after year, which says plenty about the quality of diving and the welcoming atmosphere.
