Things to know

Hot air ballooning is an exciting outdoor adventure, but it may not be suitable for everyone. Guests who are pregnant, have children under 8, have recently done deep scuba diving, or are experiencing chronic pain or recovering from major surgery are encouraged to join the chase and breakfast instead of flying. Please consult your physician if you have medical concerns. For safety, if the combined weight of two guests is 520 lbs or more, an additional ticket is required to ensure proper weight balance.

‍Q: What should I wear for the flight?

A: Dress in layers as early mornings can be cool. Comfortable, flat shoes are recommended.

Q: Are there any age or height restrictions?

A: Yes, children must be at least 8 years old and 57” tall to participate.

Q: What time do you depart?

A: We only fly once per day, around sunrise (weather permitting). Winds are generally most favorable the first hours after sunrise. We will confirm departure time the night before.

Q: Where do we take off from?

A: We have some wonderful launch locations to choose from! We typically meet at our primary launch location at the Sonoma Skypark (21870 8th St E Sonoma, CA). We have several other launch sites within a few minutes shuttle ride from our meeting location. If weather does not permit a flight in Sonoma but allows for a safe flight at another one of the areas balloon ports (Napa, Windsor, Winters) you will be given the option to join us.

Q: What happens in case of bad weather?

A: Flights are weather-dependent. If we need to cancel, we'll reschedule your flight or provide a full refund.
