    Highlights

    Ride a one-way ferry between Bar Harbor and Winter Harbor on the quieter side of Acadia National Park. Enjoy coastal views and look for wildlife during the approximate 45 minute crossing.

    • Bring snacks or a picnic to enjoy onboard or ashore
    • Bring your bike; ferry and Island Explorer shuttle accommodate bikes
    • Watch for seals, harbor porpoises, bald eagles, and seabirds
    • Arrive at the Bar Harbor Inn pier for easy town access
    • Explore Acadia National Park by shuttle or by bike

    Things to know

    Arrive 15 minutes before departure for boarding. Bikes are welcomed for a $5 fee each way; the Island Explorer shuttle carries bikes. 5:30 pm and 6:30 pm trips are not available after Labor Day; pets are welcome.

    Cancellation policy

    Customers will receive a refund with 24 hours notice of cancellation minus a 10% processing fee. If cancellation is made within 24 hours of the trip, tickets are forfeited and no refund is allowed. Customers will receive a full refund in case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. No-shows will be charged the full price.
