Captain James stands out as the star here, with guests consistently praising his knowledge of fishing spots, patience with beginners, and exceptional rapport with kids. He has a knack for putting people on fish even when conditions aren't ideal, and reviewers appreciate how he handles everything from baiting hooks to landing catches. Captain Miles also gets enthusiastic mentions for offshore trips, with his crew creating a fun atmosphere while hauling in impressive snapper, grouper, and amberjack. The boats are well-maintained with welcome amenities like air-conditioned cabins. The fishing itself delivers, with guests catching redfish, sheepshead, snapper, and other species. Even on slower days, captains work hard to find action. One reviewer expressed frustration about being assigned a different captain than originally requested, but otherwise the operation earns consistent praise for professionalism and customer service. First-timers and experienced anglers alike report having memorable days on the water, with many becoming repeat customers year after year.
The weather cooperated just enough two Fridays ago before the cold front came in. Mike was friendly and did a good job of bopping us around on a few spots. The bite was slow almost nonexistent. But we managed to land a few very nice fish. A 33” red in the last cast if the day and a 22” sheeps. Thanks!
