River Riders delivers consistently fun experiences for families and groups, with snow tubing being a major draw. Guests rave about the friendly, attentive staff who create a welcoming atmosphere and take safety seriously. The operation runs smoothly even during busy times, with clean facilities, quick-moving lines, and well-organized check-in. People love the extra touches like fire pit rentals for roasting s'mores and hot chocolate to warm up between runs. The main thing to know is that sessions run 1.5 hours, and the magic carpet lift moves slowly, which means you'll typically fit in 5-6 runs per session. Some visitors wish for longer sessions given this timing, but most still leave happy. There are hills for different skill levels, so everyone from young kids to adults can participate. The disco tubing sessions get special mention for being a blast. While the concessions are convenient, bringing your own snacks in a thermos is a smart move if you rent a fire pit.
We stayed at River Riders campground and also did a rafting trip with this company. It was a fantastic experience all around! Check-in was smooth and the people were friendly. The campground was well maintained and the crew was attentive to our needs when we asked for help. We arrived at our site and it was missing a picnic table, but a quick call to the office and they got us a table. We also did a rafting trip, Jeff was our guide, and he was phenomenal. He was familiar with the flora and fauna of the area and was very accommodating to our group. We highly recommend this operation, especially if you have anybody who’s tentative about rafting or previously had bad experiences; he rebuilt our confidence after a really frightening experience elsewhere. I think we will be returning sometime in the summer to go tubing or do more rafting with this group.
