Southern Trails delivers consistently excellent horseback riding experiences, with guests raving about the knowledgeable guides who make each ride memorable. Kate, Gracie, and Jess get frequent shoutouts for their warmth, expertise, and ability to match riders with the perfect horse. The trails themselves are genuinely scenic, featuring creek crossings, shaded paths, and occasional wildlife sightings. First-timers feel especially comfortable here, and the operation runs smoothly from booking through the actual ride. Many visitors mention getting to trot or even gallop, which adds excitement beyond a basic walk-through. The cow cuddling experience is a popular add-on, though there's a minimum booking requirement that can be frustrating for solo travelers. One guest was disappointed they couldn't book alone without paying for two spots. Beyond that isolated complaint, the feedback is overwhelmingly positive. The horses have great temperaments (Bob and Cowgirl earn particular praise), and the property's beauty makes for fantastic photo opportunities. This is clearly a well-run operation that leaves guests eager to return.
