This oceanfront trail ride delivers exactly what most visitors dream of when they picture horseback riding in Hawaii. The setting is genuinely spectacular, with riders treated to sweeping ocean views paired with mountain backdrops that make for incredible photo opportunities. What stands out across experiences is how well-cared-for and calm the horses are – many reviewers mention they're gentle, well-trained, and know the trail perfectly, making this suitable even for those who haven't ridden in years. The guides consistently earn praise for being attentive, patient, and genuinely helpful with taking photos so everyone can capture the moment. The staff clearly has a deep connection with their horses, treating them like family rather than just working animals, which creates a really special atmosphere. Groups are kept small, adding to the personalized feel that families especially appreciate. One longtime local even called it the best trail ride experience on Oahu after trying multiple locations over the years. The pace is relaxed and unhurried, perfect for soaking in the scenery, though one rider did mention wishing it moved a bit faster. The ride itself is apparently longer than many comparable experiences, giving you more time along the beach. Whether you're an experienced rider or it's been decades since you've been in the saddle, this seems to be a reliably wonderful way to experience Hawaii's coastline.
I'm a Local Island Girl now 72 of age, a Tutu to my Grandchildren. I must say this is the best by far for me doing trail rides in all my lifetime being I have done about 5 different locations on Oahu. Our guider was wonderful and made sure our group of 5 was as happy as we can be. Mahalo & hats off to HawaiiPoloTrails YeeHaw it was. Can't wait to have my GrandKiddos do this when they come for an Island visit. & Mahalo to Mia, for carrying me on your back, learn she also is retired from being a race horse and I can say we blend, cause retirement is Awesome.
