Float through Asheville’s River Arts District at sunset
2-hour
Raft, guide, dry bag
Unwind on a peaceful 2-hour raft float on the French Broad River as the sun sets over Asheville. Stay dry in the raft with a guide as you drift through the River Arts District.
You are responsible for getting back to the put-in at the end of the trip. Impaired mobility may make entering and exiting the raft challenging.
Cancel up to 5 days in advance for a full refund. If you cancel less than 5 days in advance and your seat is filled, you will get a refund. Tours may be canceled for dangerous weather conditions.
The float does not end where it starts. The trip ends near Wedge Brewery, and you are responsible for getting back to Hominy Creek River Park where your vehicle is parked. You can also park at Wedge and take a rideshare to Hominy Creek River Park before the trip.
Plan to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled departure time.
Bring sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, river shoes (or sandals with a back strap), and a light layer for when temperatures drop at sunset. A poncho or rain jacket is optional for occasional rain showers. Bring a valid ID, plus a credit card and cash if you want them for the final stop.

This floating brewery tour down the French Broad River hits the sweet spot between relaxed adventure and craft beer exploration. The raft rides are described as calm and comfortable, stopping at three distinct breweries where you'll have plenty of time to sample local brews, grab food, and even play yard games. Guides like Walker, Tim, Rachel, and Cody consistently earn praise for being friendly, knowledgeable, and entertaining with their dad jokes and corny humor that keep the vibe upbeat. The experience works beautifully for different occasions, from couples celebrating anniversaries to bachelor and bachelorette parties. Guests love the chill atmosphere and the chance to support Asheville's local brewery scene while taking in gorgeous river scenery. The guides bring thoughtful touches like coolers with ice and speakers for music, plus they're skilled at sharing interesting tidbits about the river and area history. If you're looking for a unique way to experience Asheville's craft beer culture without the intensity of whitewater rafting, this laid-back float consistently delivers memorable afternoons.
