This outfitter delivers consistently excellent river experiences on the French Broad, with guests praising everything from kayaking and tubing to white water rafting. The self-guided kayak trips stand out for their relaxed pace and well-maintained equipment (clean life jackets that actually don't smell, which apparently isn't a given elsewhere). Guides like Andy, Greta, Eric, and John earn frequent shoutouts for being knowledgeable, entertaining, and especially good with families and first-timers. Several reviewers mention feeling genuinely reassured if they were nervous, and the crew seems skilled at tailoring trips to different comfort levels. What makes this company stand out is the professionalism across the board. The operation runs smoothly from booking through pickup, and guests appreciate the clear safety instructions and attention to detail. They even handle non-river services like wedding shuttles with the same care. Recent reviews note some staff turnover, and trips have been slightly shorter post-hurricane, but neither issue has dampened the experience. Most guests are repeat customers or say they wouldn't use anyone else, which speaks volumes.
We had Asheville adventure company as a shuttle bus vendor for our wedding in Weaverville (September 20, 2025 @ Emerald Ridge Farms) Since we were the bride and groom, we did not get a chance to fully see how things had happened, but we heard amazing input from all of our guests who were shuttled by their school bus shuttles. We heard that they picked up folks on time, and they picked up folks at the end of our contracted time, meaning they spent even longer than what we said the end time would be for their services which we greatly appreciated!! Guests said that the buses were very clean, and they had no issues whatsoever with picking them up from the Fairfield Inn hotel, and to the venue. Thank you Nicci for making the process seamless along the way and for being a great communicator throughout this process!! I cannot recommend you guys enough for weddings.
