Helicopter flight, Glacier landing
Explore the Alaska Range by helicopter and step onto Yanert Glacier for a short walk on the ice. You’ll fly with pilot narration and take in granite spires and rugged glacial features along the way.
A $130 weight surcharge applies for passengers 250 lbs (113 kg) and over. Carry-on bags, water bottles or liquids, drones, and tablets are not allowed on the aircraft.
10% cancellation fee up until 24 hours prior to the excursion. No refund if you cancel within 24 hours. Full refund if the operator cancels due to weather.
Yes. If you weigh 250 lbs (113 kg) or more (including shoes and clothing), a $130 weight surcharge applies and must be paid at booking. If your weight at check-in qualifies and the surcharge was not paid, the card on file may be charged, and you may be bumped or your flight may be canceled due to weight and balance limits.
You can’t bring carry-on bags (including purses, backpacks, and camera bags), water bottles or liquids, animals, drones, tablets (including iPads), or GoPro extension poles or selfie-sticks. You’ll have access to a secure area at the base to leave these items.
Plan for a moderate activity level. You’ll walk about 100 feet (30 meters) from the base to the aircraft and from the helicopter to the glacier area, step up about 18 inches to get in and out, and stand/walk on uneven, cracked glacier surfaces. Staff can lend a hand, but they can’t lift you in or out of the helicopter.
