- Requires comfort hiking 5.8 miles on varied terrain at elevations up to 8,000 feet
- Complete an electronic waiver before departure
- Bring a small backpack, at least 2 liters of water per person, snacks, proper footwear, layered clothing, and wind or rain protection
- Admission for adults ages 16+ is $20 and is not included in the listed price; non-resident adults also pay a $100 non-resident fee
