Fall Colors Mine & Gold Panning Train Tour in Georgetown

• Ride the train to and from the mine platform
• Take in changing fall foliage, steep canyons, and mountain views
• Explore the historic mine and try gold panning
• Settle into open-air coach seating, available first come, first served
• Bring snacks or sack lunches; outside alcohol, glass, and large hard-sided coolers are not allowed

Know before you go

• Arrive at least 15 minutes before departure to pick up tickets
• Ages 5+ only for underground mine entry
• Children under 5 may visit the mine site above ground with a ticketed adult and must remain in the designated area
• Children ages 1–10 require adult supervision at all times
• Infants under 12 months must ride on a lap or in a body carrier; strollers and car seats are not allowed on the train
• Mine tours require long-distance walking on a steep, uneven gravel hill above 9,000 feet
• Requires good health and independent walking without mobility aids; wheelchairs cannot be accommodated at the mine site
• Wear a hard hat throughout the underground mine tour
• Prepare for 40°F–45°F temperatures inside the mine and changing outdoor weather
• Participation requires accepting a liability waiver
