Know before you go

• Arrive at least 15 minutes before departure to pick up tickets
• Underground mine entry is limited to ages 5 and older
• Keep children ages 1–10 with an adult at all times
• Keep infants under 12 months on a lap or in a body carrier; strollers and car seats are not allowed on the train
• Remain in the designated above-ground mine-site area with a ticketed adult if under age 5
• Expect long-distance walking on a steep, uneven 6% gravel hill above 9,000 feet
• Mine entry requires good health and no heart, respiratory, mobility issues, or recent surgeries
• Mine tours require independent walking without mobility aids and cannot accommodate wheelchairs
• Wear closed-toe shoes and a hard hat inside the mine; expect mine temperatures of 40°F–45°F
• Prepare for any type of weather
• Leave outside alcohol, recreational drugs, glass, and hard-sided coolers behind
• Accept a liability waiver before participating
• Expect optional Trip Protection to cost an additional 10% of the ticket subtotal and not be included in the listed price
