Know before you go
- Arrive at least 15 minutes before departure to pick up tickets
- Ages 5+ only inside the mine; younger children may remain above ground with a ticketed adult
- Children ages 1–10 require adult supervision at all times
- Infants 11 months and younger must ride on a lap or in a body carrier; strollers and car seats are not allowed on the train
- Mine access requires a mine tour ticket
- Mine tours include long-distance walking on a steep, uneven gravel hill above 9,000 feet
- Requires independent walking without mobility aids; wheelchairs cannot be accommodated at the mine site
- Requires good health with no heart, respiratory, mobility issues, or recent surgeries
- Wear the required hard hat inside the mine and close-toed shoes for the tour
- Prepare for 40–45°F temperatures inside the mine and low ceilings in several areas
- Do not bring alcohol or recreational drugs onto the property
- Participation requires accepting a liability waiver

Receive a 90% refund when you cancel at least 48 hours before departure. No refund is available within 48 hours of departure.

Prepare for any type of weather. Trains may be delayed or canceled, and refunds or rain checks are not offered because of inclement weather.
Coach seating is first-come, first-served on benches. Coach cars may have open sides or be open-air. Bring snacks or a sack lunch if you like, but do not bring alcohol, glass, or large hard-sided containers.
Changes are subject to seat availability and applicable fees. No refunds are offered for changes made within one hour of departure.
