Know before you go
- Arrive at least 15 minutes before departure
- Ages 5+ only for mine entry; younger children may stay above ground with a ticketed adult
- Children ages 1–10 must remain with an adult at all times
- Infants 11 months and younger must ride on a lap or in a body carrier; strollers and car seats are not allowed on the train
- Mine entry requires a mine tour ticket; every passenger needs one to disembark at the mine platform
- Requires independent walking without mobility aids, including a long walk on a steep, uneven gravel hill above 9,000 feet
- Requires good health and no heart, respiratory, mobility issues, or recent surgeries
- Wear the provided hard hat inside the mine and bring close-toed shoes
- Expect mine temperatures of 40°F–45°F
- Participation requires accepting the operator's liability waiver
Cancellation Policy
Cancel up to 48 hours before departure for a 90% refund of the ticket subtotal. No refund within 48 hours of departure. Transfers incur a 10% fee.

The mine tour requires long-distance independent walking on a steep, uneven 6%-grade gravel hill above 9,000 feet. Wheelchairs and mobility aids cannot be accommodated at the mine site.
Wear close-toed shoes and use the required hard hat inside the mine. Bring water and prepare for mine temperatures of 40°F–45°F.
