Know before you go
- Arrive at least 15 minutes before departure to pick up tickets
- Ages 5+ only for entry into the mine; younger children may remain outside at the mine site with a ticketed adult
- Children ages 1–10 require adult supervision at all times
- Infants under 12 months must ride on a lap or in a body carrier; strollers and car seats are not allowed on the train
- Mine tours require long-distance walking on a steep, uneven gravel hill above 9,000 feet
- Requires independent walking without mobility aids; wheelchairs cannot be accommodated at the mine site
- Requires good health with no heart, respiratory, mobility issues, or recent surgeries
- Wear a hard hat inside the mine and prepare for low ceilings and 40°F–45°F temperatures
- Do not bring alcohol, recreational drugs, glass, or large hard-sided coolers
- Participation requires accepting a liability waiver acknowledging inherent risks, including injury or death
- Prepare for changing weather conditions
