Private yacht, Captain, Water
Step aboard a professionally crewed private yacht charter for your group of up to 6, departing from Chelsea Piers in Manhattan. Choose a 2–4 hour cruise with a flexible route tailored to your interests and photo stops at iconic landmarks.
Maximum capacity is 6 passengers; guests under 18 must be with a parent or legal guardian. Guests 13 and under must wear a USCG-approved life jacket onboard. Boarding involves steps and a moving dock, so mobility limitations may affect suitability.
This booking is for the whole experience, which fits up to 6 guests.
Standard reservations are non-refundable. If rain or weather requires the captain to postpone the charter, you can reschedule to any available charter of equal or lesser value within the same calendar year. No refunds or adjustments if the charter starts late or ends early due to conditions outside their control.
Yes. Bring a valid government-issued photo ID that matches the credit card used to book. If you cannot provide matching ID, you will not be able to board.
Wear comfortable clothing appropriate for the weather and choose flat shoes. Avoid heels; they are unsafe on the floating dock and onboard.
You can order beverages in advance or onboard. For safety, if guests become unsafe due to alcohol consumption, the captain must limit service and return to the dock immediately.

Seeing New York City from the water is already special, but what travelers keep coming back to is how much the crew elevates the whole thing. Captain Marvin and his team, including crew members like Vanessa, Gino, and Jack, consistently earn praise for being warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely attentive. Guests with hundreds of sightseeing questions get real answers, and families with kids get little moments like letting them sit up near the captain. The experience seems to work beautifully for all kinds of occasions. Birthday celebrations, engagements, group trips, and family holidays all get the same thoughtful treatment. The sunset cruise past the Statue of Liberty comes up repeatedly as a standout, and the boat itself is noted for being clean and comfortable, with a bathroom on board. Food and champagne also get positive mentions, so it does feel like a full experience rather than just a boat ride. Across a wide range of travelers, including international visitors, milestone celebrators, and first-time NYC tourists, the word that keeps surfacing is "highlight." That kind of consistency is hard to fake, and it makes this a strong option for anyone looking to do something genuinely memorable on the water.
This sunset boat cruise was hands down one of the best parts of our trip. The views were incredible — nothing beats watching the sun set out on the water by the Statue of Liberty. The crew was super friendly and professional, and the whole experience felt really well put together. The boat was clean and comfortable for our 6 guests and 2 crew members (shoutout to Vanessa and Gino). Having a bathroom on the boat was a nice bonus. If you’re thinking about booking it, do it — you won’t regret it!
