Transport, tickets, snacks
Ride through Colorado’s foothills in a luxury Suburban with private round-trip transportation and door-to-door service from your Denver Metro property. Combine mountain scenery and Gold Rush history with time to explore at your own pace.
Your day begins at Red Rocks Amphitheater, where you'll have time to explore inside the legendary venue, visit the Red Rocks Visitor Center, and experience the massive sandstone formations that make this one of Colorado’s most distinctive landscapes. From there, continue into the foothills to explore historic Idaho Springs.
Spend two hours in Idaho Springs with time for lunch, shopping, and sightseeing at your own pace. Choose from a variety of local restaurants for lunch, browse the town’s shops, or simply enjoy the character of this historic mountain community.
Next, step into Colorado’s Gold Rush past with an included guided tour of the historic Argo Mill. The Mill tour is a shared group experience operated by the attraction and offers an inside look at the remarkable machinery, engineering, and history behind one of Colorado’s most significant gold mills. After the tour, try your hand at gold panning, with guests guaranteed to find real gold.
The experience culminates with an included ride aboard the Mighty Argo Cable Car. Ascend above Idaho Springs for spectacular mountain views, then spend time at the summit enjoying food and drinks while taking in the scenery.

Patrick, the owner and guide behind this Colorado tour operation, has earned an impressive reputation for making visitors feel genuinely taken care of. Reviewers consistently highlight how thoughtful and prepared he is, arriving with snacks, water, blankets, binoculars, and even Polaroid cameras. He picks guests up, handles all the logistics, and tailors the pace to each group, whether that's a family with teenagers or a couple celebrating a trip. People frequently mention feeling like they were exploring with a knowledgeable local friend rather than a hired guide. The tours themselves span some of Colorado's most iconic spots, including Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak via the Cog Railway, Manitou Springs, Rocky Mountain National Park, and Red Rocks tailgates. What stands out across nearly every review is how Patrick's enthusiasm and genuine care elevate each experience beyond what travelers could pull off on their own. Families with kids, visitors with special needs, and solo couples all seem to leave feeling like the day was designed specifically for them. If you're on the fence, the reviews are pretty unanimous: book it.
Patrick and the Scout Tour were awesome! We did the private trip from Denver to Garden of the Gods, Manitou Springs, and the Cog Train to Pikes Peak. Patrick picked us up at our hotel on time in a beautiful luxury SUV. He was a safe driver and made the trip entertaining, pointing out interesting things along the way. He kept us on schedule but we never felt rushed. He knew all the best photo spots and even took our picture several times. He is also an expert on Manitou Springs and seems to be friends with everyone in town. Seriously, it was probably the best travel/tour experience we've ever had and well worth the price.
