Floating low over Lake Coeur d'Alene at around 1,000 feet, with mountain views stretching in every direction, this is the kind of experience people keep talking about years later. Shane and Cambrie are the names that come up repeatedly in reviews, and for good reason. Passengers consistently praise their knowledge of local history, their warmth, and their genuine enthusiasm for sharing the region from above. The aircraft are well-maintained classics, and pilots fly low enough that you actually feel connected to the scenery rather than just passing over it. Couples celebrating anniversaries, families, and first-time floatplane riders all seem to walk away calling it a trip highlight. The sunset flight in particular draws repeat visitors. One reviewer did mention some difficulty getting a timely response when trying to book, so reaching out early and following up is a good idea, especially during peak season when flights fill fast.
Fellow aanother platform here - I was genuinely impressed with the pristine condition of N33JP, their 1954 Beech D18S. This is a beautifully maintained classic. Brooke’s Seaplane Service offers scenic floatplane tours over Lake Coeur d’Alene and the surrounding area. If you’re visiting during the high season, it’s smart to book ahead - they do fill up quickly. It’s not the cheapest outing, but absolutely worth it if you love aviation or just want to see the lake and mountains from a unique perspective. The flights stay fairly low, around 1,000 feet AGL, so the views are wide and clear, and you can really take in the beauty of Coeur d’Alene. Great experience all around. Fly safe!
