Know before you go

• Arrive at least 15 minutes before departure to pick up tickets
• Mine entry is limited to ages 5+; every passenger needs a mine tour ticket to disembark at the mine platform
• Children ages 1–10 must stay with an adult at all times
• Keep infants 11 months and younger on a lap or in a body carrier; strollers and car seats are not allowed on the train
• Expect long-distance walking on a steep, uneven 6% gravel hill above 9,000 feet
• Requires independent walking without mobility aids; wheelchairs cannot be accommodated at the mine site
• Requires good health and no heart, respiratory, mobility issues, or recent surgeries
• Wear the required hard hat inside the mine and closed-toe shoes; expect mine temperatures of 40°F–45°F
• Prepare for any weather and do not bring alcohol or recreational drugs onto the property
