Bring your passport for entry to the Terracotta Warriors and City Wall. Minimum 2 participants required. Gluten-free and severe allergies cannot be accommodated; vegetarian and vegan options are very limited.
What is included and excluded throughout the day?
Includes entrance tickets to the Terracotta Warriors and Ancient City Wall, English-speaking guide, ground transportation with driver, hotel pick-up, countryside lunch, evening food tour by tuktuk, and bottled water plus soft drinks and beer. Excludes hotel drop-off, optional bike rental on the city wall, and optional gratuities.
What transportation methods will we use and how long are the car rides?
Travel by private van with about 1.5 hours to the Terracotta Warriors and 1.5 hours back to Xian and the city wall. The evening food tour is by private tuktuk, which is open-air and not climate controlled.
How much physical activity is required?
Expect 2–3 hours on your feet at the Terracotta Warriors and about 1 hour at the ancient city wall, with uneven surfaces and some stairs.
What if I have dietary requirements?
This tour is not recommended for vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free travelers. It is no-pork friendly and features mutton and beef. Kitchens may use nuts and cross-contamination is possible.

I had such a great time joining Michelle’s Lost Food Plate tour! Even as a Portland local, I had so much fun and got to explore a few spots I’d never been to before. The coffee and donuts were GREAT, and it was really interesting to see downtown’s coffee culture up close. I thought I knew all these places, but clearly I didn’t! I’d absolutely recommend this tour to friends and family, whether they’re visiting from out of town or locals wanting to experience Portland in a new way. It would also make a fun activity for a group trip!
