Cruise to the Channel Islands State Marine Park, then explore Southeast Alaska’s waters by tandem kayak. Your guide and captain share local knowledge as you travel through marine wildlife habitat.
45 min - Pick up from Downtown
1.5 Hours - Scenic Wildlife and Whale Watching Cruise
1-2 Hours - Land on a remote island, have a snack, and launch your kayak!
1 Hour - Cruise Back to the Harbor
45 minutes De-Gear and Transport back Downtown
Cancel at least 72 hours before the tour for a full refund; cancellations under 72 hours are nonrefundable. Full refund if the operator cancels before the trip starts due to low enrollment, unsafe weather or route conditions, physical requirements, or other safety issues. Medical cancellations require valid documentation within 2 weeks.
You ride in tandem (double) kayaks, and you must know how to swim. You should be able to confidently paddle for up to 2 hours.
Maximum torso (waist-chest) diameter is 55 inches (140 cm). Maximum weight limit (including gear) is 600 lbs for double kayaks. If you’re taller than 6’2" (198 cm), you may find operating the rudder challenging because the pedals only adjust so far.
If you book a private trip, you may bring your own beverages in a small cooler on the motorboat. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted on the boat or during the trip.

Julia was a great guide! Would absolutely do this excursion again. We witnessed a whale completely breach the surface and another whale or two come up multiple times while in the kayaks. So much fun and quite exciting. Wish we were quick enough to get it on camera…. June 23,2026
