Set in the mountains above Malibu, this trail riding outfit draws consistent praise for its stunning scenery, well-loved horses, and genuinely attentive guides. Isabella and Scout come up repeatedly by name, with riders noting how calm, patient, and photo-ready they are on the trail. The property is private, meaning no hikers or mountain bikers crossing your path, and the small group sizes keep things feeling personal rather than commercial. The horses themselves seem to be a genuine highlight. Reviewers with real equestrian backgrounds have pointed out that the animals are properly cared for, not just passably so, and first-timers consistently mention how gentle and well-trained they are. Sunset and golden hour rides get especially enthusiastic writeups, with ocean views, wildflowers, and canyon scenery all getting called out depending on the season. For anyone on the fence, the beginner-friendly approach here is worth noting. Guides adjust to mixed-experience groups, take time with stirrup fittings and hill instruction, and even help with photos along the way. It sits about an hour from Los Angeles, which most visitors seem to consider well worth the drive.
We did a sunset trail ride as a family of 4. Isabella did great in matching up horses with each of us, where we had some new riders in the group. The trail was great, and the views over Malibu were of course amazing! Huge thank you to Isabella and team for an amazing experience!
