Lorie and her team run an exceptionally welcoming operation that offers both coastal and redwood forest rides near the Northern California coast. Guests consistently praise how well-cared-for and gentle the horses are, with guides expertly matching riders to horses based on experience level and personality. First-timers mention feeling completely at ease within minutes, while experienced riders appreciate the quality of the trails and animals. The personal attention shows in everything from clear instructions to thoughtful touches like saddlebags for storing items. The redwood forest ride gets especially glowing feedback for its peaceful, almost magical quality. Riders love the diverse terrain and appreciate Lorie's knowledge of local history and plant species along the way. The beach rides through Tolowa Dunes State Park are equally popular, offering a completely different but equally memorable experience. Multiple reviewers mention the guides take great photos during rides and genuinely care about creating special memories. With year-round operations and genuine passion for both horses and hospitality, this is clearly a favorite for anyone wanting to experience this stunning landscape from horseback.
