Lance and his team have built something special here, earning loyal customers who return year after year. Multiple families mention renting for a decade or more, which speaks volumes about the consistent quality and service. The bikes are well-maintained across categories—standard bikes, e-bikes, road bikes, and hybrids—and come with everything you need like helmets, locks, and repair kits. Delivery and pickup service gets particular praise for convenience, with bikes often dropped off before arrival and collected when you're done. What really stands out is how the staff goes above and beyond. One reviewer recounts how they rescued stranded kids when a lock malfunctioned, replacing it and giving them a ride home in the heat. Others appreciate Lance and Ron's personal attention in sizing bikes properly and recommending local routes. The operation is refreshingly straightforward—online booking works smoothly, communication happens via text with photos, and pricing remains fair and stable. They have two convenient locations too, including one right by the Legacy Trail, making it easy whether you're exploring the beach or hitting the trails.
I searched for a good bike rental for my friend who was coming from Wisconsin to enjoy biking in our lovely Sarasota climate! The shops I called rented road bikes, carbon and aluminum, electric bikes, or “comfort bikes” ( I think of these as being designed with big wide seats for riding very short distances in flip flops). One place only accepted online orders for rentals My friend rides 70 miles at a pop on the regular but didnt plan on higher speeds for the Legacy trail. One bike shop said they dont rent but suggested Siesta Key Bike and Kayak as the best in the area! We were not disappointed!! Best prices! Great bike - a Felt - hybrid bike, $70 for 4 days!! One of their shops is half a block from the Legacy Trail, the other is right in Siesta Key. They staff were very helpful checking the sizing and making sure we had a pack, lock and helmet. Easy pick up and easy drop off! Delightful staff - Lance helped us pick out just the right bike at the Siesta Key location. They made our week together biking the Legacy delightful! Best bike rental experience EVER!!
