Tempe Triple Surrey: Seats 6 Adults & 2 Kids

This spot offers a fun variety of water activities on Tempe Town Lake, from pedal boats and kayaks to the popular "donut boats" that work great for groups. The standout here is really the staff, with Dan and Gia getting specific shout-outs for going above and beyond. When equipment issues pop up (and they occasionally do), the team generally jumps in to swap out gear or help troubleshoot, which visitors really appreciate. Families seem to especially love the dragon pedal boats, and several reviewers mention bringing food and drinks to enjoy on the water since some boats have tables. That said, there are a few things to know going in. The lake itself can be a bit rough around the edges, with some reviewers noting murky water and occasional dead fish, which is more about the lake than the rental company. The pedal boats require genuine effort to move around, so be prepared for a workout. Also, rentals start at one hour minimum, so there's no quick 30-minute option if you just want a brief spin. One person mentioned getting a broken paddle and faulty kayak seat without much guidance, though that seems to be an outlier. There's also a mention of a promised refund that hadn't come through yet, so keep your receipts if issues arise. Overall though, it's a solid option for a family outing or date, especially if you go early to beat the heat and crowds.
